Senior QA Engineer

The Senior QA Engineer will:
• Design and implement test plans / test cases, setup test data, and configure hardware for validating software applications
• Test and verify the functionality and performance of product releases
• Work closely with the product manager, software developers, and our customers to support the product development
• Contribute to the entire development process in resolving design, and implementation issues
• Contribute ideas towards the enhancement and/or modification of designs to improve the product
• Report and track bug defects
• Provide and suggest improvements to current testing processes and methodologies
The qualified candidate will demonstrate:
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of QA experience including all aspects of test planning, execution, and reporting
• Experience in white box and black box testing
• Familiarity with test automation strategies and methodologies
• Hands-on relational database usage (SQL, SQL Plus, database tuning) is highly desirable (Oracle preferred)
• Experience in Unix and Windows
• Experience with load/performance, failover testing
• Java programming experience is a plus
